Hi, I'm Stephanie. I love food.
“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”
- Ruth Reichl
When there’s a tasty sandwich in front of me, I eat it with my eyes. I size it up. I look at the soft, grilled bread. I analyze all the delicious contents, expectantly predicting how the flavors will meld on my tongue. I reach out and grab it with my hands. I get more excited now that I can feel the texture of the bread. My mouth waters in anticipation. The scent of the wheat and ingredients fill me, and I know what I am about to enjoy. Finally, the outer layer of the sandwich brushes my lips and hits my tongue. The different textures elate me: the soft bread, the crisp lettuce, the creamy sauce. As a bite down, it makes a satisfying crunch. Then the flavors hit their high to low notes as I chew. The first bite. Then the second. Then the third. Before I know it, it’s gone.
